This year again, Fidurock Group took part in a volunteer initiative organized in cooperation with the Krkonoše National Park Administration (KRNAP). Together, we spent a day in the Sklenářovické Valley helping restore the local landscape and remove invasive plant species that have long negatively affected the local ecosystem. We left for the Krkonoše Mountains early in the morning on May 21 and spent the entire day working outdoors under the guidance of two KRNAP employees, who introduced us to the importance of the area and explained why long-term landscape care is so essential.
Our main task was removing false hellebore, an invasive plant species that limits the natural biodiversity of local meadows and forests while also complicating grazing conditions for local sheep. Using hoes, we cleared selected parts of the valley and helped restore space for the original fauna and flora.

From time to time, it is refreshing to step away from the office and devote energy to an activity that has a real impact on the surrounding environment. We already took part in this volunteer day last year and are happy to continue it in the years ahead. We truly appreciate the work of the KRNAP Administration and the opportunity to lend a hand.
Throughout the day, we were accompanied by beautiful weather and a very pleasant atmosphere. Besides the work itself, we also appreciated the opportunity to spend time together outside the office and support a meaningful activity with a long-term benefit for the landscape of the Krkonoše National Park. We believe that thanks to this effort, the local nature in the Sklenářovické Valley will continue to thrive and preserve its diversity for future generations.
